Complete 40-hour Kentucky Reciprocity Course

Complete the course final exam

After you finish the course, you will need to take an online proctored exam and pass with a minimum score of 75%.

Submit the background check requirement

You must submit your fingerprints to the Kentucky State Police or FBI for a criminal background check.  Please click here for more information.

Request your history/letter of good standing

This must be requested from your state real estate commission and sent directly to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.

Pass the state exam

You will only need to pass the Kentucky state portion of the PSI real estate state exam. This includes 50 state-specific questions. You will need a 75% or higher to pass this exam. Affiliate with a broker registered in Kentucky

You will need a real estate brokerage registered in Kentucky to hire you so that they can hold your activated license.

Submit your license application

You can either mail in your application or send your application electronically. Click here to go to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission. During the application process, you will purchase errors and omissions insurance to have your real estate license activated.
